Spoilers ahead.

"Never satisfied. They're all that way. Never get enough." Really Larry? What a a**hole thing to say.

"A man shouldn't be interested in antiques; that's for women." This is why your wife cheats.

I didn't care for Larry, so his death wasn't sad. I find it ironic that a manly man was bested by an antique.

Beyond The Door is a brief tale about a cuckoo clock. So brief that I can't say much without spoiling this quaint story. We could say the story is a metaphor for being a nice person; or that unjust and abusive behaviour may be punished by preternatural forces; or that you get what you deserve. At its core, this short work is a flight of fancy, open to interpretation, and therein lies its power. ( )

Has something of E.A. Poe, just not as creepy. ( )
