Life is good. This had been shelved in the wrong spot at my local favorite bookstore, or I'm sure it would have already been gone.

This fine collection from the early days has several stories I've always loved (including one of my favorite Asimov characters, Susan Calvin).

Satisfaction Guaranteed (Isaac Asimov)
Piggy Bank (Henry Kuttner (and C. L. Moore))
With Folded Hands (Jack Williamson)
Brother to the Machine (Richard Matheson)
The Defenders (Philip K. Dick)
Almost Human (Robert Bloch)
Into Thy Hands (Lester del Rey)
Boomerang (Frank Russell) (aka A Great Deal of Power)

Almost Human is a story by Bloch that I'd almost forgotten about, and Boomerang is new to me. Considering the quality of the other stories in this collection, I'm looking forward to reading it.

It's a worthy collection. ( )

Epigraph
Dedication
To Otto Binder because he is a warm, sincere human being in an age of unfeeling automatons, to Alvin M. Riley Jr. because he has had the supreme patience to remain one of my few close friends - and especially to my parents for reasons they understand in their hearts.
